Career Growth 2

Are You a
Stegosaurus?
By Paul R.
Lloyd
Are you
nimble enough to react and adapt to our rapidly changing world?
Or have you been caught as flatfooted as a stegosaurus? Is your
career in danger of becoming extinct like that once mighty
dinosaur? Your business last year may not be your business this
year. What is your business right now? What is it evolving into? |
If you are
struggling with these kinds of questions, then it’s time to
reconsider the business you are in. Is there a better way to earn an
income? Is there a better way to live your life so that you will be
happier and more successful?
My new book,
Plant What Others Throw Away: Career and Life Lessons in Ordinary
Objects, isn’t so much about the path to financial security, as
it is about living a successful life in a world that is both
physical and spiritual. It is about a different kind of success
where you live in balance with God’s call on your heart and with
your need for the things money can buy. Along the journey, you will
learn something about financial achievement, but only in the context
of the new life that is waiting for you.
Plant What
Others Throw Away covers
seven steps of success, including:
·
Prepare for Success
·
Seek a Balanced Life
·
Turn Obstacles into
Adventures
·
Build a Team
·
Have Faith
·
Demonstrate Your Love
·
Seize the Opportunity
Performing
these seven steps does not guarantee personal wealth. There are no
guarantees for financial success. Instead, Plant What Others
Throw Away shows you how to succeed whether you acquire large
sums of money or not.
The journey is
difficult and there are dangers and snares along the way. It’s easy
to get lost, so the book takes you along a trail marked with
signposts that point to The Way. On each of these signposts, you
will find a marker with a symbol on it. The symbol serves as a
reminder to point you in the right direction. Bible quotes serve as
an assurance that you are on the right path. Be sure to stay on the
true path so that you do not become lost.
Be very
careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the
most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do
not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

5:15-17
